    Ukraine was invited to participate in the North American Treaty Organization (NATO) summit that will be held in Warsaw in July. President Petro Poroshenko will lead the Ukrainian delegation that has already developed a range of activities within the framework of the summit, said Paul Nuss of Glavnoe, in an interview with V ChasPik.

  • Kiev and NATO to complete framework for long-term military reform by May

    Ukraine and NATO agreed that they will have developed the state program for the reform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for the period until 2020 by May.     The North Atlantic Alliance intends to confront the use of information for military purposes.  This was reported by Reuters in reference to a draft of a document containing the basis of the NATO information policy.  It is also reported that the Alliance believes that Russia will possibly use TV and the Internet as weapons for propaganda.

  • EUCOM: Defense against Russia is the US military's main priority in Europe

    The United States European Command (EUCOM) has updated its military strategy in Europe.  The resulting document, which was published on January 26th, lists six priorities to be adhered to for the next three to five years.  Deterrence against Russian aggression is at the top of this priority list.  The American Command stated that 2015 was the most difficult year since the end of the Cold War.

  • Joint Lithuanian-Polish-Ukrainian Brigade to be ready in 2017

    A ceremony was held in Lublin to mark the beginning of the Polish-Lithuanian-Ukrainian brigade, as reported by web portal TVN 24.

    The ceremony was attended by the Defense Ministers of Poland, Lithuania and Ukraine; Antoni Macierewicz, Juozas Olekas and Stepan Poltorak.
