Turkey signs contract with European conglomerate Eurosam to develop anti-air defense systems
Turkey has signed a contract with the French-Italian military enterprise, the Eurosam, to conduct research on the development of a new anti-aircraft defense system.
“The future system, equipped with modern technical abilities to defend against the most dangerous threats (stealth aircraft, winged, and ballistic missiles) will be ready by the mid-twenties,” a press-release from the company said.

Russian media: mortars used in bombardment of Russian airbase in Syria were brought from Turkey
The Russian military base in Syrian Khmeimim was shelled using an 82-millimeter automatic mortar Vasilek (Cornflower), writes Russian newspaper Vestnik Mordovii (Herald of Mordovia) quoting military experts.

Russia and Turkey sign loan agreement for delivery of S-400 missile systems
Russia and Turkey have signed an agreement on payment terms for the S-400 surface-to-air missile (SAM) system, reported Hurriyet, citing the head of the Turkish Defense Ministry, Nurettin Canikli.
The publication did not disclose the details of the signed agreement. However, the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, said earlier that Ankara would pay 45% of the transaction amount as an advance, while the other 55% would be allocated by Russia as a loan. Turkey will pay Russia $2.5 billion for four S-400 systems
Russia will sell Turkey four anti-aircraft S-400 defense systems for $2.5 billion, as announced by Sergey Chemezov, the General Director of the state corporation Rostec, in an interview with Kommersant.

The S-400 missile systems that Moscow will supply to Ankara do not pose a threat to NATO, said Turkish Defense Minister Nurettin Canikli.
