Three Russian officers were injured during attack in Aleppo
As a result of shots fired by militants at the humanitarian corridors in Aleppo, three officers from the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Opposing Sides in Syria were slightly injured.
This was reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the report, the Russian servicemen were delivered to Russian military airbase Hmeymim to get medical care. Their lives are not in danger.
A “humanitarian pause” is in effect in Aleppo from 8:00am on October 20. In total, there are two corridors for militants to exit and six for civilians.
Russia extended the “humanitarian pause” for 24 hours. However, the terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra threatened to shoot anyone who wants to leave eastern Aleppo.
Previously, it was reported that at the EU Council meeting in Luxembourg on Monday, foreign ministers from the EU member states strongly condemned the air strikes on civilian targets in the Syrian city of Aleppo made by the Syrian and Russian militaries, and said that these attacks may amount to war crimes.
