Turkey does not allow ships from the Crimea into its ports
As reported by Ukrainian TSN news channel, ships from the Crimea are not allowed into Turkish ports. TSN reports that the logistics company confirmed that ferries that arrived from Sevastopol are not allowed to enter the port of Zonguldak. This is not the first time that Crimean vessels were not allowed to moor while boats from Russian regions do not face such problems. The information was later confirmed by the Crimean Maritime Agency.
The director of the Crimean Maritime Agency, Stanislav Gvozdilov, told RIA Novosti that Turkey stopped accepting ferries from the Crimea two weeks ago.
He clarified that Turkey did not indicate the reasons for such a decision. According to Gvozdilov, due to the disruption in ferry service, the delivery of food and other goods from Turkey to the Crimea has stopped.
Turkish newspaper Hürriyet reported that ships from the Crimea cannot enter the port of Zonguldak, this applies to Turkish ships sailing from the Crimea as well. According to the head of the Turkish logistic company, Selin Global Foreign Trade, Arzygul Kaimakci, he wasn't given an official reason why the ships cannot unload in the port.
"The only reason is that the ships came from the Crimea," Kaimakchi said. ''Right now we are in a very difficult situation. People are waiting for answers from us - how long it will last and when we will continue."
Stanislav Gvozdilov told the Crimean newspaper, Primechaniya, that Turkish ports are only refusing ships from the Crimea: "Logically it seems that Turkey does not recognize the Russian Crimea. Russian ships from other regions are accepted, from Novorossiysk, for example, but not from the Crimea."
