Ukraine to submit complaint to NATO Parliamentary Assembly about Serbian mercenaries in Donbas

The Ukrainian delegation is preparing an appeal to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly regarding the presence of Serbian mercenaries in the Donbas, as reported on Facebook by the chairman of the permanent delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, People's Deputy Iryna Friz.

"We are preparing an appeal from our delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly regarding this issue and I am sure that it is necessary to contact all international institutions to inform them about the shameful fact of the participation of Serbian mercenaries on the side of the puppets of the Kremlin against our state," she wrote, providing data from the Ukrainian Army headquarters in the Donbas on the presence of the group of Serbian mercenary snipers in the Donetsk area.

Friz hopes that the international community will condemn the actions of Serbian mercenaries.

"Serbian authorities, in addition to the 45 criminal proceedings against the Serbian mercenaries fighting in the Donbas, should add more supporters of the "Russian world," in particular, Dejan Beric, with the call sign Deki," she added.

On October 11th, the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) said that on the territory controlled by the LPR, there are over 300 Serbian citizens that have fought since the beginning of the conflict in the Donbas. The Ukrainian Ambassador to Serbia has repeatedly stated that Serbia is not reacting to data on the participation of its citizens in the war in the Donbas.

The prosecutor's office of Serbia said that since the end of 2014, 45 cases have been brought against mercenaries who are participating in military conflicts abroad, including in the Donbas.
