Turkey to supply military drones to Ukraine
Turkey and Ukraine signed a memorandum on the supply of unmanned aircraft systems to Ukraine, the press service of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) reported on Wednesday, July 4.
"Based on the Commission's work [following the meeting of the Joint Ukraine-Turkey Commission on military-technical cooperation in Ankara], the parties signed a Memorandum on the supply of unmanned aircraft systems to Ukraine, creating a joint venture,” the statement said.
The participants also discussed projects to be implemented in armored, aerospace, and aircraft military sectors. "The parties have agreed to develop cooperation in the direction of unmanned weapons systems and discussed the possibility of creating a joint design office for the development of new engines for armored vehicles," the statement read.
According to the NSDC, Turkey has confirmed its interest in purchasing the Ukrainian AN-178 aircraft.
