Klimkin: Foreign Ministers of Denmark and the Chezch Republic to visit Donbas
At a press conference on Friday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin announced that the Foreign Ministers of Denmark and the Czech Republic are going to visit the Donbas in late January.
“At the end of this month, we will have another strong group of our friends, ministers of foreign affairs. The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Denmark, who will visit Mariupol and the Ukrainian Donbas and inform of their visit at the next meeting of the ministers of foreign affair of the European Union,” said Klimkin, commenting on the failed trip to the Donbas by the Foreign Ministers of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia.
The Danish Minister, Anders Samuelson will be joined by the Czech Minister Tomash Petršíček and several other ministers, in the visit to the Donbas.
On January 15, Lithuanian Foreign Minister Linas Linkyavichyus, Latvian Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkevics, Estonian Foreign Minister Sven Mikser, and Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Chaputovich arrived in Ukraine. They planned to take a work trip to Mariupol to get acquainted with the social and economic situation there and see the damage to the ports of Berdyansk and Mariupol which was caused by the restrictions imposed by Russia on the navigation in the Kerch Strait.
