Kolomoisky reveals Zelensky's nomination details
Ukrainian business oligarch Ihor Kolomoisky who is considered the patron and business partner of the newly elected President Vladimir Zelensky said he did not intend to ask for something new from the newly-elected president.
“I will not even contact him. I do not need anything from him. Kolomoisky is a self-sufficient person, he doesn’t need anything from anyone, “ said Kolomoisky in an interview with the publication Bigus.info.
The businessman did not deny information akout the financing of the Zelensky’s campaign but hinted that the idea of nominating this candidate belonged not only to him but also to the current Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov. The goal of the project was to replace Petro Poroshenko, from who’s policy Ukrainian people were already tired.
On April 30, the Central Election Commission of Ukraine officially recognized Zelensky as the winner of the presidential election. 73.22% of voters supported Zelensky in the second round. His opponent, the former president, Petro Poroshenko received 24.45% of votes.
