Netanyahu: Iran’s presence in Syria will be main topic of the meeting with Putin
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is in Moscow, where he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Before his departure, the head of the Israeli government announced that the focus of the meeting will be Iran’s military presence in Syria.
“Today I am going to Moscow, where tomorrow I will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. At the center of our talks will be Iranian consolidation in Syria. We act and will continue to act against it and attack their bases. I will talk about this with the president of Russia,” said the Premier.
Netanyahu added that the Israel "will continue to act until they expel the Iranians from Syria because Iran is threatening to destroy Israel, and we will not allow it to set up a base close to our border."
Today, Russian President, Vladimir Putin, will hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, who is on a working visit to Moscow. On the agenda, there are bilateral cooperation issues, primarily in the trade, economic and humanitarian spheres, as well as exchange views on the current situation in the Middle East, including the problems of Palestinian-Israeli settlement and the situation in Syria, informed the Kremlin press service earlier.
