Georgian Foreign Minister to meet with US Secretary of State
On March 14-18, the Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mikheil Janelidze, will make an official visit to the United States. According to First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs David Zalkaliani, Janelidze will have meetings with representatives of the U.S. executive and legislative powers.
In particular, Minister Janelidze will meet with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry. During the visit, meetings will also be held with representatives from the White House, as well as with the Senate and Congress, together with the co-chairs of the "Group of Friends of Georgia,” congressmen Ted Poe and Gerald Connolly.
Janelidze will also meet with representatives of leading U.S. research centers and non-government organizations and make a speech at the Atlantic Council. Interpress News also reported that the Minister will have scheduled meetings with top U.S. media.
