NATO to carry out military exercises in three European countries
Roughly four thousand military personnel of the Romanian army and representatives of other NATO member states will participate in the Noble Jump 2017 military exercises, which will take place between May 26 and June 16 in Romania, Bulgaria, and Greece.
This was reported by the Romanian Ministry of National Defense.
“The Noble Jump 2017 exercises are important for the Alliance, making it possible to demonstrate the level of tactical cooperation of the allied forces. We highly appreciate the hospitality of the states hosting the exercises, and their willingness to carry out drills at a high organizational level,” said Admiral Michelle Howard, commander of Allied Joint Force Command Naples.
As announced by Romanian Brigadier General Ovidiu Uifaleanu, commander of the south-eastern multinational division, the climax of the exercises will be firing exercises, which will take place in the territory of the Cincu military training center in the Brașov County.
Military personnel and equipment from Albania, Germany, Great Britain, Norway, Holland, Poland and Spain will take part in the exercises.
Estonia is currently carrying out the Spring Storm exercises, in which roughly nine thousand soldiers from NATO and its partners will take part. Soldiers from Ukraine will also participate in the maneuvers.
