Ukraine will toughen border control along the Transnistrian border

The Ukrainian government decided to extend the measures to toughen the border controls in the Transnistrian part of the Ukrainian border, reported by Serhiy Yarovyy, the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs during a meeting with the delegation of the Kyiv Association of Military Attaches and the military attaches of more than 30 foreign states.

According to him, the Kharkiv part of the border is being completed within the framework of the European Rampart program. Work has begun in the Sumy and Luhansk Oblasts.

“The government decided to extend the plan to toughen the border with Transnistria. The Ukrainian State Border Service already pays much attention to this region. Recently, there was a unit of the National Guard stationed there and we plan to deploy units of the National Police. We will certainly build up strength there,” the First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs added.
