Poland says that the responsibility to normalize relations is on Ukraine
Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski is disappointed with relations with Ukraine. He said on Polskie Radio that Ukraine refuses to implement certain bilateral agreements.
Waszczykowski said that Poland is not in a dispute with Ukraine. Nevertheless, he believes that there is no progress between the countries in political, diplomatic, military and economic relations.
“It’s been a few years since the start of a dialogue between Poland and Ukraine, but there is no progress in the relationship,” he said.
He believes that a return to the implementation of earlier agreements, in particular those regarding search and exhumation work of Polish graves in Ukraine, would have a positive impact on bilateral relations between the two neighboring countries.
Also, Waszczykowski said that the “black list of Ukrainians” is in response to the decisions of the Ukrainian authorities.
At the same time, the foreign minister notes that Poland continues to support Ukraine’s integration into Europe and opposes Russia’s annexation of the Crimea.
Earlier, Poland created a “black list of Ukrainians,” which is a list of persons who are prohibited from entering the country.
At the same time, Poland is not going to divulge the names of Ukrainians who are prohibited from entering the country or say how many names are on the list. In an interview with the newspaper Dziennik Gazeta Prawna, Polish Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski said that the list is brief and does not contradict the Schengen Agreement.
