Ukraine stops Russian oil transit
The national operator of Ukraine's oil transport system Ukrtransnafta in its message on Facebook announced that on the evening of April 25 Ukrainian side was forced to suspend Russian oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline.
"In accordance with the terms of the current agreement, Ukrtransnafta has the right to stop accepting Russian oil, if the raw materials do not meet the quality indicators. All material losses are borne by the party who did not comply with their duties," said the operator.
Ukraine has decided to suspend the Russian oil transit through the Mozyr-Brody pipeline due to the fact that at the Budkovce oil delivery point in Slovakia refused to accept oil, as well as due to the lack of free capacity at the Fenechlitka delivery point in Hungary.
The statement specifies that the resumption of the oil transfer will be reported separately.
Earlier it was reported that on April 26 Gomeltransneft Druzhba (Belarus) will convene emergency talks in Minsk. This oil transport companies leaders’ meeting was organized in connection with the cessation of oil transportation at the Mozyr-Adamovo section, as well as the threat of a full shut down of the Druzhba main oil pipeline system.
Poland informed the Belarusian side about stopping Russian oil transit via the Druzhba pipeline due to the poor quality of the oil.
