  • Crimean MP arrested by Ukrainian authorities

    Crimean MP, Vladimir Galichiy, has been arrested at the border with Ukraine.

    According to ruinformer.com, Vladimir Galichiy has been detained attempting to cross the border from Ukraine to Crimea.

    According to the ruling of the Pechersky district court of Kiev, the 49 Crimean MP who last year voted in favor of the Crimea referendum were put on a wanted list. They have been charged with treason by Ukrainian authorities.

  • Three-year sentence for criticizing Putin

     A 56-year-old Rafis Kashalov has been sentenced by a Russian court to three years imprisonment over social network posts criticizing Russia's annexation of Crimea and aggression in eastern Ukraine.   • Berlusconi visits annexed Crimea

    Silvio Berlusconi, Former Italian Prime Minister arrived with a "private visit" in the Crimea annexed by Russia.  

    Berlusconi arrived on September 11 in Yalta, where he plans to take in the sights and have "several meetings".

    As admitted in the Kremlin on September 9, during the trip Berlusconi could meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

    Berlusconi is also expected to visit Sevastopol, and then go to Moscow and return to Italy on 13 September.
