    The head of the German Foreign Ministry believes that the diplomatic efforts of France and Germany were instrumental in prevention of a war in Europe.

  • The OSCE is ready to send armed observers to the Donbas

    The Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) is open to sending armed personnel to eastern Ukraine if this proposal is agreed to by all parties. This was declared by the Secretary General of the OSCE, Lamberto Zannier.

    The organization is currently supervising a fragile ceasefire between Ukrainian forces and rebels in Donbas.

  • Ukrainian Armed Forces: The situation in the Donbas continues to deteriorate

    The headquarters of the Ukrainian Armed Forces announced that the situation in the Donbas has deteriorated significantly over the last several days, Glavnoe reported.

    “Yesterday, pro-Russian gangs opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian defenders 15 times,” the headquarters wrote on Facebook.

    The OSCE confirms that the majority of ceasefire violations in eastern Ukraine occur on the territory that is under the separatists’ control, the Unites States Deputy Secretary of State, Antony Blinken stated.

    The second President of Ukraine and the representative of Ukraine in Trilateral Contact Group, Leonid Kuchma, reiterated that elections cannot be held in the self-proclaimed Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics until the Minsk Agreements are implemented.

    The OSCE has once again stressed that the presence of heavy weapons during military parades in Donetsk and Luhansk on May 9th will be a violation of the Minsk Agreements, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
