Polish MEPs threaten Russia with new sanctions because of imprisoned Ukrainians
As reported by The Open Dialogue Foundation on May 5th, MEPs Jacek Saryusz Wolski and Kazimierz Michał Ujazdowski wrote letters to the heads of the Russian prison facilities where Ukrainian citizens Nikolai Karpyuk, Stakislav Klich, Gennady Afanasiev, Alexander Kostenko and Yurii Soloshenko are being detained.
The MEPs warned that if the rights of Ukrainians are further violated, the number of Russians in the EU sanction list may increase.

Russian man found guilty of extremism for posting 'Crimea is Ukraine' on social media
A Russian court in Tver sentenced mechanical engineer Andrei Bubeev to two years and three months in a penal colony for posting "extremist content" on his social media page, Radio Svoboda reported.
The content that was deemed to be extremist by the court was a post on Bubeev's VKontakte page which read "Crimea is Ukraine".
Bubeev was charged with public calls to commit extremism and activities aimed at violating the territorial integrity of Russia.

Moscow court extends detainment of Director of Library of Ukrainian Literature for another three months
The Presnensky District Court of Moscow has extended the detainment of the Director of the Library of Ukrainian Literature, Natalya Sharina, until July 29th, 2016. Sharina is accused of distributing extremist literature and embezzlement.
This update was posted on Facebook by Sharina’s lawyer, Ivan Pavlov.
The court has also denied the request that Sharina be allowed to take short outside walks during her detainment.

Russian Ekaterina Vologzheninova, who is being convicted for making reposts of materials in support of Ukraine on her personal page on VKontakte, testified in court in her defense.
