The counterintelligence department of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has uncovered a network of Russian intelligence agents and arrested its leader, announced Volodymyr Nestyuk, head of the counterintelligence department, on Thursday December 27.

Kyiv: Ukrainian army has taken control of nearly all gray zone in the Donbas

Ukraine extends entry ban for Russian men
The National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine (NSDC) extended the entry ban imposed on Russian men aged from 16 to 60, despite the end of the martial law, said First Deputy Interior Minister Serhiy Yarovyi, the press service of the ministry reported.

Ukraine suspends martial law
December 26th, at 14:00, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced that martial law, which was enacted due to Russian attack in the Kerch Strait, had been discontinued in regions of the country.

Ukraine imposes additional sanctions against Russia

Russia warns Ukraine and NATO against sending ships through the Kerch Strait
Moscow called on Ukraine and its Western partners to abandon the new attempt to send naval ships through the Kerch Strait.

Russia expands sanctions against Ukraine
Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced that the list of Ukrainian citizens and companies under sanctions would be expanded.
“The list of persons and legal entities of Ukraine, that will be included in the list of special restrictive measures has been expanded. I signed the appropriate decree,” wrote Medvedev on Twitter.

Nord Stream 2 construction begins in Sweden’s exclusive economic zone
The Solitaire, a ship working on the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline, has begun laying pipes in Sweden’s exclusive economic zone, Aftonbladet reports. The pipes needed for construction will be stored at the Swedish Karshamn Port.
