Crimea authorities hope the air traffic with Ukraine will resume
Chairman of the Committee of the Parliament of Crimea on health-resort complex and tourism Alexey Chernyak said that the Crimean airport is ready to accept the flights from Ukraine.
According to him, the resumption of air traffic, that stopped in October 2015, is primarily beneficial to Ukraine itself.

Russia closes off more than a quarter of Black Sea for a month
Between 24 July and 19 August, purportedly for training purposes, Russia has closed off five regions of the Black Sea with a total area of 118,570 square kilometers, more than a quarter of the sea’s total area, the Ukrainian Military Portal reports.

Libyan government destroys two Ukrainian cargo planes, pilot killed
One or two Ukrainian Il-76 military transport aircraft have been destroyed in Libya by Government of National Accord (GNA) forces, Al Jazeera reports.

Two American aircraft conduct reconnaissance flights off the Crimean coast
On Saturday, July 27, two U.S. planes conducted reconnaissance off the coast of the annexed Crimea, as reported by the air traffic monitoring service PlaneRadar.

Kremlin offers Ukraine to extend gas transit contract for a year
Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak said that Moscow offered Kyiv to extend the current contract for gas transit on existing conditions for a year, but the Ukrainian side didn't respond yet, reports RIA Novosti news agency.
