According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, one of the leaders of the EU countries demanded that Kyiv provide proof that the Russian war crimes in Bucha were not staged.

Makariv Mayor says 132 civilian bodies have been found in town after Russian retreat
Makariv Mayor Vadym Tokar said 132 civilians were killed by Russian forces and that 40% of the town had been destroyed.
“As of yesterday, we have found 132 civilians who had been shot dead by the Russian orcs,” Tokar said during a newscast.
He added that mass graves as well as individual bodies have been found.
Makariv, which lies 32 miles west of the Ukrainian capital, had a prewar population of approximately 15,000. 25 miles to the northeast lies the village of Bucha.

Mayor of Chernihiv says 700 Ukrainians died during battle for the city
Chernihiv Mayor Vladyslav Atroshenko said about 700 people died during the battle for the city,
“During the war in Chernihiv, about 700 people died- both military and civilian,” Atroshenko said, as quoted by Ukrinform.
He added that of the dead, all but 70 have been identified. A total of 40 people are missing.
The Mayor noted that 80,000-95,000 of the city’s prewar population of 285,000 remain in the city.

Ukraine’s Vice Minister for Protection of the Environment and Natural Resources, Ruslan Strelets, said hundreds of Russian troops were subjected to high levels of radiation after withdrawing from Ukraine’s Chernobyl exclusion zone.

Deputy Prime Minister Irina Vereshchuk has encouraged residents of the Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Luhansk oblasts to evacuate while they still can, Ukrainskaya Pravda reported.
