  • Ukrainian Armed Forces regain control of Shyrokyne

    A representative of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Mariupol region, Alexander Kindstafer, reported on air during a 112 Ukraine TV channel broadcast that Ukrainian servicemen fully regained control of the town of Shyrokyne in the Donetsk region.

    The Public Oversight Commission has visited Ukrainian political prisoner Oleg Sentsov at a detention center in Chelyabinsk.

  • Yatsenyuk: Poroshenko is responsible for the political instability in Ukraine

    Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk believes that the responsibility for the political instability in the country rests with President Petro Poroshenko. He expressed this opinion during the TV program “10 Minutes with the Prime Minister” on Sunday, February 28th.

  • Activists block 14 Russian trucks in Ukraine

    Representatives of the ‘Freedom Party’ reported that 14 vehicles were detained in Chernovitskaya during the blocking of Russian trucks through Ukraine.

  • Three Ukrainian prisoners released by so-called LPR

    On February 26, 2016 in Schastie, Luhansk region, an exchange of prisoners took place between Ukrainian and representatives of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic.  At the boundary line, Ukraine handed over six people.     In an interview with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, Ukrainian Prime Minister Aresniy Yatsenyuk stated if President Petro Poroshenko is dissatisfied with the current cabinet, he should form a new government.

    Ukrainian border guards have recorded activity of four Russian Mi-8 helicopters near the administrative border with Crimea.  This was mentioned on the website of Ukrainian authorities.

    The situation in the Donbas region remains tense, as both the Ukrainian Armed Forces and pro-Russian separatists blame each other for violating the ceasefire on February 27th.
