Colleague of Russian journalists killed in Central Africa forced to flee Russia
A former journalist for the media project “the Investigation Management Center” Sergei Kanev had to urgently flee Russia fearing of being accused of an assassination attempt on the Russian president, reported Dozhd TV, with reference to the Russian media project “Proekt”.

According to Proekt ‘s sources, right now Sergei Kanev is in one of the Baltic countries. A human rights activist who works there confirmed that he knows about Kanev’s escape.
The reports about the deaths of journalist Orkhan Dzhemal, director Alexander Rastorguyev and cameraman Kirill Radchenko appeared on July 31. Their bodies were found 23 kilometers from the city of Sibut. The Russian journalists had been shooting a documentary about the activities of the Russian private military company Wagner in the Central African Republic.
Later, Dozhd reported, citing its sources, that the private military company Patriot may be involved in the murder of the Russian journalists in the Central African Republic.
