Drone strike hits Chechnya's Interior Ministry, Kadyrov threatens retaliation
In the early hours of December 12, a swarm of drones once again targeted the building of the second regiment of the Interior Ministry in Grozny, Chechnya. Reports indicate that at least four among Kadyrov's troops were injured. This information was corroborated by Chechnya's leader, Ramzan Kadyrov, on his Telegram channel.
The drone attack on Chechnya occurred at 12:55 am, hitting the special police regiment named after Kadyrov, part of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Chechen Republic.
Kadyrov stated that no severe injuries were reported, with four soldiers receiving minor wounds. Allegedly, the drone detonated mid-air, causing debris to damage the roof and break windows. Kadyrov claimed that such attacks only "strengthen the spirit and belief in victory."
The Chechen leader mentioned having 84,000 fighters in reserve, ready to be deployed at Putin's command. He also repeatedly threatened to take harsh actions against Ukrainian prisoners of war, promising to kill 400 POWs in retaliation for the four wounded in the drone attack.
This regiment's building was similarly targeted by drones on December 4. At that time, Kadyrov threatened to place Ukrainian POWs on the rooftops of military facilities in Chechnya. Grozny residents reported hearing multiple "pops" near the Interior Ministry building. Yesterday marked exactly 30 years since the Kremlin's assault on Ichkeria, sparking the First Chechen War.
