Javelin anti-tank systems will be delivered to Ukraine this year
The Javelin anti-tank systems will be delivered to Ukraine this year, as stated in the comments to 112 Ukraine TV channel by the Minister of Defense, Stepan Poltorak.
"I would like to say that we will receive the Javelin on time, this year for sure," he said.
The Minister also said that during a meeting with US Secretary of Defense James Mattis he received answers to all his questions.
"We discussed many issues, almost all the topics and all the questions that I had, that bothered me - I got an answer to all my questions. There is a clear understanding of how, when, and in what way. We discussed all of this. We discussed our cooperation, as well as cooperation with the Alliance and our bilateral commitments and the completion of working out agreements between the United States and Ukraine," he added.
On December 21st, Donald Trump authorized the supply of M107A1 sniper rifles, ammunition, and related equipment to Ukraine worth $ 41.5 million.
Earlier ABC reported on Trump's plans to approve the sale of a batch of antitank weapons to Ukraine. The plan provides for the supply of 35 launchers and 210 anti-tank missiles as well as the Javelin anti-tank missile systems to Ukraine.
According to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, the delivery of the Javelin systems will be financed by the US.
