Kadyrov's Video Showing Opposition Leader in Crosshairs Removed from Instagram
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said that Instagram has removed his video depicting the leader of the Parnas party, Mikhail Kasyanov, because the application protects "American dogs," as he wrote on his Instagram page on Monday, February 1st.
"I always honestly and openly express my opinions in words and writing. But when I say a few words about the US lap dogs they immediately removed the post from Instagram. Here is this touted freedom of speech in America! You can write whatever you want, but don't touch the dogs of America, friends of the State Department and Congress. You know perfectly well who I'm talking about!" Kadyrov wrote.
Earlier on Monday, Instagram administrators removed a video that Kadyrov posted on his account, showing Kasyanov being seen through the optical sight of a rifle. A representative of Instagram stated that the video doesn't comply with the terms of service and therefore it was removed.
Ramzan Kadyrov posted the video on his Instagram account the night before. The video depicted Mikhail Kasyanov and another member of the Parnas party, Vladimir Kara-Murza, during their trip to Strasbourg. This video was edited so that they both could be seen through the optical sight. "Kasyanov arrived in Strasbourg to acquire money for the Russian opposition. Those who haven't understood it yet, will get it," Kadyrov wrote in video description.
