More than half of Ukrainians think there will be a third Maidan

The majority of citizens believe that the Euromaidan Revolution or the ‘Revolution of Dignity’ has failed to achieve its goals.

According to sociological survey conducted by Research & Branding Group, 56% of Ukrainians believe that a third Maidan is likely to occur. 29% of respondents believe that a new Revolution isn’t likely to happen while 15% found difficulty in replying to the question. Also, Ukrainians were asked whether Euromaidan achieved its goals. 68% of respondents said no, 24% said in some sense yes and in some sense no, while only 5% of respondents said yes.

53% of respondents are against the war in the Donbas, while 33% are in favor of it. Respondents were also asked their opinion on having a visa-free regime. 57% believe that a visa-free regime for Ukrainian citizens will not be introduced and 30% of respondents believe that it will be introduced. 45% wouldn’t use it in case of its introduction and 42% would use it.

The survey took place on July 7 to 15, 2016 in 24 regions of Ukraine and Kyiv, with the exception of the Crimea, Sevastopol, and the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions. 1795 respondents were surveyed with an expected sampling error of 2.4%.
