Obama and Kerry to attend NATO summit in Warsaw

The US State Department confirmed that President Barack Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry will both attend the forthcoming NATO Summit in Warsaw in July, Radio Polsha reported.

In his letter to the Polish people on the 225th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Poland, Kerry wrote that he and Obama will visit Poland during the NATO summit, which will be an opportunity "to show the strength of the North Atlantic Alliance and to strengthen the union during these difficult times."

Kerry’s letter also stressed the importance of Polish-American relations.

"Today our countries are working closely together in the areas of economy and national security, and our soldiers serve side by side in many regions of the world. Together, we are determined to withstand all threats to the safety and welfare of our citizens," the US Secretary of State said.

The NATO summit will be held in Warsaw on July 8-9.
