Poroshenko announced successful testing of new air-to-ground missile
Ukraine has successfully tested a new 57 mm missile for the Ukrainian Air Force. The missile is designed to destroy ground targets as was announced by President Petro Poroshenko on Facebook.
"I have good news. Ukroboronprom has developed a new rocket for the Air Force of Ukraine. 57 mm missiles are designed to destroy ground targets and are projected to be used to arm attack helicopters and planes," the President wrote.
According to him, during the test, the crew of the helicopter, which is also equipped with new engines and an Adros station for optical-electronic suppression, has hit the designated targets.
"It takes only half a second to shoot a complete set of 20 missiles. Good job, guys," Poroshenko added.
Ukraine conducted missile exercises in the Kherson region in January.
