Russia to establish testing ground at Crimea's administrative border

Russia will establish a testing ground to test security equipment at the border in the annexed Crimea, as was discussed at a meeting of the Russian State Border Commission, which took place on 23 September in the Crimea.

As TASS reports, according to the Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Rogozin, the Federal State Service has already obtained the approval of the Border Service.

“Instructions will be given, with the consent of the Federal Border Guard Service of Russia, to test, apply, and put into operation at the border the latest security technologies, including multiple optical technologies, and the means to detect illegal border crossings, which have not yet been put into production,” Rogozin said.

According to him, these instructions will be given to the enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex and the Advanced Research Foundation.

Earlier, Sergey Aksyonov, who has been appointed by the Kremlin as the Prime Minister of the annexed Crimea, and Russian Deputy Prime Minister, Dmitry Rogozin, circled over the administrative border of the Crimea and mainland Ukraine by helicopter.
