Ukrainian Prime Minister to visit Israel on May 14th
The Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, will make an official visit to Israel on May 14th, IzRus reported, citing sources in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Israel.
While in Israel, the head of the Ukrainian government will hold a series of meetings with politicians, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry noted that the meeting of the heads of government should mark the end of the crisis in relations between the two countries after Ukraine voted for an anti-Israel resolution in the UN.
In late December 2016, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued an order minimizing working relationships with representatives of 12 states, including Ukraine, in connection with the vote on a UN Security Council resolution on December 23rd. As a result, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman's visit to Israel on December 27 was canceled.
In February, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko in a telephone conversation with Netanyahu, agreed on the Prime Minister of Ukraine’s visit to Israel.
