Ukrainian Embassy in London asks people to report on British citizens who visited Crimea

In recent years, there has been an increase in the number of cases where Russia takes every opportunity to legalize the annexation of the Crimea at the international level, as reported on the Facebook page of the Ukrainian embassy in London. According to the embassy, it was discovered that a British citizen, Julan Burdock, participated in the international Koktebel Jazz Party festival that took place in the occupied Crimea from August 26 to August 28.

In addition, diplomats noted that the Mriya Resort & Spa Hotel, which is located in the Crimea, has received an international World Travel Award (London). The Ukrainian embassy in London stated that it has made formal requests to the organizers and participants of the above-mentioned events, and also to the UK government, condemning the corresponding actions.

The agency also asked people to try to prevent the emergence of such acts in the future, including actions that are contrary to sanctions imposed by the European Union against Russia and Ukrainian legislation, with all the legal consequences that follow from that.

“We ask you to inform the embassy on similar cases involving the participation of British citizens or organizations that you are aware of, for the purpose of a further response from our diplomatic institution,” the embassy of Ukraine in London summarized.

On September 22, the ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, Natalia Galibarenko, called on the British authorities to take measures against British citizen Graham Phillips in order to stop his advocacy work for Russian occupation authorities in Ukraine.
