Ukrainian Intelligence: More Russian tanks and other weapons arrived in the Donbas
The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on August 6 that a military equipment convoy from the Russian Armed Forces – tanks, armored combat vehicles, artillery mounts and trucks – was moving through the Ukrainian border in the areas of Kuibysheve(in the Rostov region) and Marinovka (in the Donetsk region). In addition, a supply of weapons, military equipment, ammunition, oil and lubricants from the Russian Federation was recorded.
In particular, 10 tanks with oil and lubricants (500 tons) were delivered to Rovenky; a train with military vehicles was moved to Dovzhansky; and two cars with munitions were transported to Debaltseve.
“The presence of tanks, SPG [self-propelled guns], artillery systems of calibers more than 100-mm, and 120-mm Grad multiple rocket launchers were recorded in the areas of Fashchivka, Torez, Krasnyi Luch and Donetsk. The following information was provided by the representatives of SMM OSCE,” the intelligence reported.
Also, troops fortifications are being implemented on the front lines of divisions from the 11th Infantry Battalion and 3rd Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 2nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Luhansk) in the direction of Novoaidar.
Minefields are being laid by the engineer company of the 2nd Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade at the turn of the Veselenke – Hryashchevate– Pionerske route. They continue to equip the positions of mortar divisions from the 1st Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 7th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Debaltseve).
The fortification to equip the 1st Motorized Rifle Battalion of the 11th Separate Motorized Rifle Regiment’s (Makiivka) team-sites is ongoing. “On the 6th of August, a partial rotation of military personnel from advanced divisions of the 100th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade (Donetsk) is planned in the areas of Petrovske and Olenevka,” Ukrainian intelligence reported.
