Putin: Russian defense enterprises should develop their production of civilian products
By 2020, when the main part of the State Defense procurement is complete, the financial stability of state enterprises should be maintained by producing civilian products, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated during his visit to the Ufa Engine Industrial Association (UEIA), as reported on the Kremlin’s website.
The main task of Russian industry, as noted by the Russian President, is mastering the production of modern and competitive civilian products. At the same time Putin stressed that diversification of the defense industry should be carried out in a balanced manner.
On 24 January, during a meeting with the enterprise’s employees, Putin said that due to low inflation the prerequisites exist in Russia for a reduction in mortgage interest rates.
