Ukraine at the bottom of the list in road quality

According to the World Economic Forum, the quality of Ukrainian roads – ranked 130th among the 137 countries on the list – is among the worst in the world.

This information appeared in the Global Competitiveness Index 2017-2018 from the World Economic Forum (WEF), which includes road quality as one of the indicators.

On a point scale of 1 to 7 (7 being the highest road quality), international experts rate Ukrainian roads at 2.4 points. Paraguay received the same rating.

According to WEF estimates, only six countries have worse roads: Yemen, Guinea, Madagascar, Haiti, Democratic Republic of Congo, and Mauritania.

Ukraine came in behind all of its geographical neighbors in road quality (Belarus was not included in the rating): Hungary (62nd place, 4.1 points), Poland (65th place, 4.1 points), Slovakia (73rd place, 4.0), Russia (114th place, 2.9), Romania (120th place, 2.7) and Moldova (128th place, 2.5).

The best roads in the world are in the UAE, Singapore, and Switzerland.
