Ukrainian Army receives new Ukrainian-made anti-tank missile system
The Corsar light portable, anti-tank missile system was recently added to the Ukrainian army’s arsenal. It was developed by the State Kyiv Design Bureau Luch, the press service of Ukroboronprom reports.
Several tests preceded the addition of a new missile system into the arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. More than 50 missiles for the Corsar were manufactured and delivered ahead of schedule.
The Corsar portable missile system has an effective range of 2.5 km, the same distance as the American FGM-148 Javelin, and the missiles are laser-guided.
One of the main features of this system is its portability, allowing it to be carried and to be fired from the shoulder, without the use of additional devices.
The Luch Design Bureau developed two types of guided missiles for the Corsar: the RK-3K and the RK-3OF.
