The Genocide and Resistance Research Centre of Lithuania began to publish intelligence messages from agents of the KGB Soviet special service, as stated in the press release of the organization.

"Such documents have been preserved in large numbers in the Lithuanian special archive. Their distribution will allow society to get a more accurate picture of the activities of KGB agents," the report said.

Reports on messages from agents operating in Lithuanian immigrant organizations, the Supreme Committee for the Liberation of Lithuania, the Lithuanian World Community, Lithuanian American Council, the Lithuanian American Community and the company Santara Sviesa will be published.

Later, there will be reports on scientific and technical intelligence and the espionage in which agents were engaged during the internships. Most agent messages were hand-written and signed with a pseudonym so that it would be impossible to identify the agent. 
In 2012, the center declassified the lists of KGB personnel officers who worked in Lithuania in the 1980s.

The Genocide and Resistance Research Centre of Lithuania has been publishing information on the activities of the KGB agents since 2011. There have been 5,500 archival documents published to date.
