Kyiv to introduce new regulations for Russian artists touring in Ukraine
The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine will submit amendments to the law on touring events to the Verkhovna Rada soon. These amendments are intended to regulate the tours of artists from the Russian Federation in Ukraine, said Vyacheslav Kyrylenko, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, while on air with “Ukrainian Radio”.
“We will put a barrier legislatively and that small cohort of Russian artists that supports our country and is taking a stand against Putin will certainly continue to visit Ukraine,” Kyrylenko stated.
He also added that the amendments to the law on touring would contain the guidelines for organizing and conducting the tours with the participation of Russian artists. According to him, the legislative initiatives will be brought to the Parliament in the near future.
It was recently reported that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine could oblige the concerts’ organizers to inform the authorities about invitations of Russian artists.
