NATO fighter jets will carry out training flights over Estonia
Two Eurofighter fighter jets from the German Air Force will perform low altitude training flights in Estonian airspace next week, Estonian err.ee reported. The flights will be performed at a height of no less than 150 meters and, as servicemen promise, away from residential areas. The flights will be performed in the morning.
Since late August, fighter jets from the German Air Force have been guarding the sky over the Baltic States. They are based at Ämari Air Base. The NATO countries allocate parts of their airspace to hold Air Force training and drills.
In accordance with the decision of the North Atlantic Alliance, the Air Forces of NATO countries have been guarding the airspace of Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania since March of 2014 on a rotational basis.
