Seimas of Lithuania urges Russia to end the annexation of the Crimea
The Seimas of Lithuania adopted a resolution calling on Russia to end the annexation of the Crimea, as was reported by Delfi news agency.
In the resolution adopted on the occasion of the third anniversary of the annexation of the Crimea, the Seimas expresses "firm support for Ukraine's independence, its territorial integrity and the inviolability of its internationally recognized borders."
Lithuanian parliamentarians also strongly condemn "the annexation of part of the territory of sovereign Ukraine - the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol, which is still carried out by the Russian Federation." They also call on Russia to withdraw its troops from the Ukrainian territory.
The resolution was supported by 91 members of the Seimas during the vote, a representative of the party, the Electoral Action of the Poles of Lithuania, Christian Families Alliance Political Group, Irina Rozova, abstained.
