Ukrainian PM: Russia spends more than $1 billion on global propaganda

Russia annually spends more than $1 billion to broadcast information to 500 million people with the "propaganda network", as stated by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, at the annual communication forum WCF Davos Kyiv, UKRINFORM reports.

"The Russian Federation spends over a billion dollars on communication annually and covers its propaganda network audience of more than 500 million people. It says that by using unscrupulous communication, one may change the world. And here again I am convinced that we have no opportunity to speak about victory in this conflict,” Groysman said.

He stressed that now there is not a struggle between the two sides but between ideological principles and values. "It is important that the values that unite us — democracy, freedom, the inviolability of rights and freedom of speech — will win," the Prime Minister said.

According to Volodymyr Groysman, Ukraine is suffering from an "unprecedented aggression," which has military, energy, economic, and informational components.
