Polish foreign ministry calls on Stoltenberg to intervene in situation between Hungary and Ukraine
Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Czaputowicz believes that NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg can intervene in the situation concerning Hungary’s attempt to block Ukraine’s Euro-Atlantic integration, reported RBC Ukraine.
Czaputowicz called the dispute between Hungary and Ukraine “a family dispute.”
“We need to study the problem and propose a solution that will dispel any doubts. Perhaps a third party would be helpful here, for example, the NATO Secretary General. I think he has some tools to resolve the issue,” Czaputowicz added.
He also said that a few days ago he discussed this problem with Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó.
It was earlier reported that Hungary sent proposals to NATO for a “new policy” in relation to Ukraine. In particular, the Hungarian government sent documentation to the NATO allies which "prove that the reforms in Ukraine have failed.”
