Russian President Vladimir Putin and US National Security Adviser John Bolton agreed on the time and place of the Russia-US summit, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov announced at the end of the meeting, Interfax reports.

According to Ushakov, the time and place of the meeting will be announced on Thursday, June 28, 2018. According to him, "for the summit, a very convenient place has been chosen for both Russia and the United States. It’s a third country."

Ushakov said that Putin's meeting with Donald Trump will begin in the middle of the appointed day with a tête-à-tête conversation and will last for several hours. The emphasis will be on bilateral relations, Syria and disarmament issues.

The Kremlin has not ruled out the possibility that the Presidents of the Russian Federation and the United States might make a joint statement on the outcome of the meeting regarding bilateral relations and joint actions in the international arena.

Ushakov also said that during the conversation between Putin and Bolton, some ideas were expressed that the US and Russian presidents could "realize" during the bilateral meeting, including some in the context of humanitarian activities in Syria.

Also at the meeting, the topic of interference in the elections in the United States was briefly mentioned. "It was clearly stated from our side that the Russian state did not interfere with [electoral] processes in the US, does not interfere, and, moreover, did not interfere in the elections of 2016," Ushakov said.

Earlier, Austrian media reported that the meeting of the presidents of Russia and the United States will be held in Vienna on July 15.
