US urges Ukraine to speed up reforms
According to a joint statement made by the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, and US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, the pace of reforms in Ukraine needs to be sped up to ensure a smooth handover of affairs to the future US presidential administration.
This statement was made after the talks between Ukrainian and US authorities on trade cooperation. The American presidential delegation was headed by Pritzker.

Indonesia receives armored personnel carriers that were purchased from Ukraine
On 28 September in the Indonesian port of Tanjung Priok (Jakarta), a test batch of four BTR-4M armored personnel carriers, specially designed for the Marine Corps of Indonesia and manufactured by the stated-owned company Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau (KMDB), were unloaded from the cargo ship, Texel, which arrived from Ukraine, as reported on the ‘Made in Ukraine’ Facebook page.

Kyiv begins trying Plotnitskiy in absentia
The trial of the head of the so-called Luhansk People’s Republic, Igor Plotnitskiy, have begun in Kyiv. Plotnitskiy has refused to appear before the Podilsky district court, and is therefore being tried in absentia.
According to prosecutor Yevhen Dudka, the trial will last about six months.

Russia initiates legal proceedings against Right Sector leaders
The Russian Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against the leaders of Ukraine’s Right Sector.
According to the committee’s website, a criminal case has been filed against Dmitry Yarosh and several other members and former members of the Ukrainian nationalist organization.
The case has been initiated under part 1 of article 282.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which addresses extremist activities.

US gives three mobile laboratories to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense
The United States gave the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense three mobile laboratories worth 13 million hryvnia ($500,000). These labs will make it possible to promptly and efficiently complete tests, from the simplest to the most complex ones, to identify disease agents and bacteriological studies.
